REF OSC Adjustment
Disconnect the coaxial cable from J4006 on the
LOCAL Unit, then connect the frequency count
-
er to J4006.
Press and hold in the [1.8(1)], [3.5(2)], and [7(3)]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “1-04 FREQ”.
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob so that the fre
-
quency counter reading is “80.00000 ±5 Hz”.
Press and hold in the [MENU] button for one
second to save the new setting and exit the
alignment mode.
Main Receiver Adjustment

Local Oscillator Adjustment
Set the following controls as indicated:
[ANT] : ANT 1
[IPO] : AMP1
[ATT] : OFF
[R.FLT] : AUTO
[AGC] : AUTO
[RF GAIN] : Fully clockwise
Connect the RF millivoltmeter to TP1030 on the
MAIN Unit.
Press and hold in the [1.8(1)], [3.5(2)], and [7(3)]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “2-01 Local1.8”.
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob so that the RF
millivoltmeter reading is “1.6 Vrms”.
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “2-02 Local3.5”.
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob so that the RF
millivoltmeter reading is “1.6 Vrms”.
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “2-03 Local7”.
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob so that the RF
millivoltmeter reading is “1.6 Vrms”.
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “2-04 Local14”.
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob so that the RF
millivoltmeter reading is “1.6 Vrms”.
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “2-05 Local21”.
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob so that the RF
millivoltmeter reading is “1.6 Vrms”.
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “2-06 Local28”.
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob so that the RF
millivoltmeter reading is “1.2 - 1.75 Vrms”.
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “2-07 Local50”.
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob so that the RF
millivoltmeter reading is “1.0 - 1.5 Vrms”.
Press and hold in the [MENU] button for one
second to save the new settings and exit the
alignment mode.
