FTDX1200/FTDX3000 SCOPE Feature Enhancement
An additional “Waterfall Display Mode” is provided that displays color
differentiation between strong and weak signals.
This fi rmware update provides SCOPE feature Waterfall Display settings that will present
the strong and weak signals in varying colors.

Note:
To enable the AF-FFT display on the FTDX1200, requires the optional FFT-1 (FFT
Unit).
To set the
Spectrum Scope
to the Multi Color Water Fall Display:
1. Press the [MENU] key to enter the Menu mode.
2. Rotate the [VFO-B/CLAR] knob to select Menu item “124 SCOPE MODE”.
3. Press the [SELECT] key.
4. Rotate the [VFO-B/CLAR] knob to select “CENTER-WF2” (to set the
Spectrum Scope
to the CENTER mode multicolor Waterfall Display); or select “FIX-WF2” (to set the
Spectrum Scope
to the FIX mode multicolor Waterfall Display).
5. Press the [SELECT] key.
6. Press the [MENU] key.
To set the
Audio Scope
to the Multi Color Water Fall Display:
1. Press the [MENU] key to enter the Menu mode.
2. Rotate the [VFO-B/CLAR] knob to select Menu item “185 FFT DISPLAY MODE”.
3. Press the [SELECT] key.
4. Rotate the [VFO-B/CLAR] knob to select “WATERFALL2” (to show the
Audio Scope
signal on the multicolor Waterfall Display); or select “SPECTRUM-WF2” (to show the
Audio Scope
on the spectrum, and the multicolor Waterfall Display).
5. Press the [SELECT] key.
6. Press the [MENU] key.
