The
DVS-6
Voice Memory Unit provides five memories capable of storing up to 20 seconds each of voice audio. You can
store and then repeatedly transmit short identification and information messages.
Installation
1. Turn the
FT-950
’s [
POWER
] switch “off”, and turn
off the external DC power supply.
2. Disconnect all the cables from the
FT-950
.
3. Referring to Figure 1, remove the 18 screws attaching
the bottom case, then remove the bottom case.
4. Refer to Figure 2 for the mounting location for the
DVS-6
.
5. Refer to Figure 3, push the
DVS-6
onto the pins corre-
sponding to its assigned mounting location on the trans-
ceiver. Gently press the board down until it is firmly
seated in its connectors.
6. Replace the bottom case and its 18 screws.
7. Connect the antenna and DC power supply to the
FT-
950
.
