Conne ct a dummy load to the antenna j ack ,
and conne ct an audio signal generator to the
microphone input . Tune up the transmitter
at
1 4 . 2
MHz, and adjust the audio generator
output for approxim ately 5 0 watts output
into the dummy load , single-tone, SSB mode.

Peak T 1 04 (RF UNIT) for maximum power
output .
(3) Peak T4o 1 - T4o3 and T4 os (IF UNIT) for
maximum power output . Swit ch the RF
processor on , and adjust the COMP LEVEL
control . for approxim ately 5 0 watts output .
Peak T404 for m aximum power output .

Tune in the m arker generator signal at
1 4 . 2
MHz, with a dummy load connected to the
antenna j ack. Peak the preselector for m axi
mum S-meter indication.

Peak T 102 (RF UNIT) for maximum S-m eter
indication .
( 3 ) Peak T406 - T4 1 1 and T4 1 3 - T4 1 s for maximum
S-meter indication.

Connect the RF probe of a VTVM to the
collector o f Q202 (NB-FIX UNIT) . Reduce the
RF GAIN control somewhat , and tune T2o 1
and T 202 for a dip i n the VTVM indication.
If no dip is observed , reduce the RF GAIN
control further.
