X. Firmware Updates
You can check the current firmware version at login or on the home page
of administration web site or in the properties of the Gateway in the NMEA 2000
devices list on a chart plotter.
You can download the latest firmware version from our web site:
http://www.yachtd.com/downloads/ .
Open the downloaded .ZIP archive with an update and copy the EUPDATE.BIN file
to the disk. The README.TXT file inside the archive can contain important
information regarding the update.
1. Log in to the administration web site.
2. Open the «Firmware Update» page.
3.
Click the «Choose File» button and locate the EUPDATE.BIN file on the disk.
4. Click the «Update» button.
The Firmware upload takes up to 2 minutes. After this period, you will get a message
that the update is started and the Gateway will be rebooted. Two 0.5-second flashes
of status LED (green) will confirm that the Gateway is rebooted, and after 5-7 seconds
the Gateway will inform you with four 0.5-second flashes that the firmware update
was successfully completed. After that, the Gateway returns to normal operation
and start signal as it described in Section VI.
The firmware update cannot damage the Gateway and all settings will remain
intact (unless otherwise stated in the README.TXT file provided with the update).
For example, if the update procedure is interrupted due to power failure,
it will be re-started at the next power on. You can roll back all firmware updates
and return to the factory firmware with hardware reset (see Section V).
