9 Maintenance
9.1 Preventive maintenance
Make sure that the unit is free from dust. Use a dry, soft cloth.
9.2 Upgrade the controller firmware
NOTICE:
The unit does not control the pump station during the restart
and upgrade processes. A backup method for level monitoring
and pump control may be required.
Make sure that the configuration and the history are saved.
1. Power off the controller.
2. Insert the USB drive with the new firmware.
3. Power on the controller.
The upgrade starts. The diagnostic LED flashes once.
4. Select one of the following steps:
Diagnostic LED
Action
Constant light
Remove the USB drive. The upgrade is completed.
No light
1. Remove the USB drive.
2. Power off the controller.
3. Power on the controller when the LED is not lit.
4. Repeat the procedure.
9.3 Upgrade the HMI firmware
The controller must be powered on.
1. Insert the USB drive with the new firmware.
2. Go to About > Firmware Version > HMI.
3. Select one of the following steps:
Message
Action
No firmware update available
Remove the USB drive.
Do you wish to continue and upgrade the HMI
firmware?
Confirm, and wait for confirmation of the
upgrade procedure.
4. Remove the USB drive.
9.4 Back up the configuration settings
The settings are erased at a firmware upgrade. They can be saved to a USB
before the upgrade.
