Prevent problems
Although it is basically possible that different (Dahua) cameras are transmitted via one HeiTel camera
channel for Live stream, Browser stream and so on. However, this is NOT recommended. Mixing different
cameras on one channel would mean that, e.g., a CamControl LITE user (Live stream) and a CamControl
MV user (WebApi stream (Multi View)) would see different camera images and the archive (Site archive
stream) would possibly store video of a third camera the Live stream of which would not be displayed on any
channel. This results in scenarios which cannot be handled and controlled.
Moreover, such settings will result in problems with PTZ presets. The Dahua device stores its own Preset list
for each of the cameras but the HeiTel device can only manage one Preset list per camera channel. The
HeiTel transmitter will always use the Preset list of the Live stream (CamControl LITE) as reference. But this
reference then always applies when calling up presets via:
Web browser
CamControl MV
PIR
CIO adapter

Advanced settings
Set up the further configuration for the individual camera channels using the CamControl LITE software. The
required settings depend on the respective location and the planned overall system. Examples are:
Alarms
Note:
motion detection is not transferred by the Dahua Encoder! The detection must be via
IntrusionTrace / LoiterTrace.
Analysis using IntrusionTrace and/or LoiterTrace
Archive settings
etc.
Refer to the CamControl LITE Software Guide, document No. 26936.
