RDS Function
The RDS functions AF, TA, PTY etc. are
available.
Please note that these functions are not
available in all countries.
AF function
(
Alternative Frequency)
The AF function switches automatically
to alternative radio station as soon
as you leave the receiving area of the
current station.
We recommend you to deactivate
this function in-city. Otherwise the
searching starts each time you drive
through the tunnel.

TA function
(
Traffic Announcement)
While this function is activated the unit
switches automatically to the radio
mode for the current traffic announ
-
cement. After the announcement it
switches back to the initial mode.
PTY function
(
Programme Type)
The Programme Type function allows
to search for a station according to it's
type (e.g. music or education).
MASK DPI / MASK ALL function
MASK ALL
: hides the AF transmitters
that have a different PI identifier and
any interfering non-PI transmitters that
have the same transmit frequency.
MASK DPI
: hides the AF transmitters
that have a different PI identifier.
PI function
PI MUTE
: hhe sound is muted during
station search.
PI SOUND
: tuning with sound.
RETURN function
RETUNE L (long)
: searching for a
station with the correct PI (Program
Identification) ID will continue for 90
seconds.
RETUNE S (short)
: the search for a
station with the correct PI identification
will stop for 30 seconds.
Volume function
VOL LAST
: after power on, the volume
setting is applied before the last power
off.
VOL ADJUST
: after power is turned on,
a fixed volume setting is applied that
you can set in the "
VOL ADJ
" submenu.
Press the rotary knob until "
A
-
VOL
"
appears on the display. Use the rotary
knob to set the volume value to be
accepted the next time the unit is
switched on.
