Accept only encrypted user authentication
Activate this switch if SMTP-Auth passwords should never be transmitted in clear. In
this case, the SMTP-Auth methods PLAIN and LOGIN can only be used if the SMTP
connection itself is TLS encrypted.
SMTP-Auth is affected in both directions. For outgoing
connections (provider relay server requires authentication) as
well as for incoming connections (mail relay to Internet only for
authenticated clients).

Mail server certificate
This certificate is needed for encrypted SMTP mail transmissions (STARTTLS). The
POP3 and IMAP4 server of SX-GATE also uses it for encrypted access.
Import or issue a new certificate
Install a new certificate in here. SX-GATE can issue a self-signed certificate, but it also
offers the required functions to obtain a certificate from a public certification authority
(CA). Finally you can reinstall a certificate backup here.

There are different ways to get a new certificate:
Create a new selfsigned certificate
A self-signed certificate is especially useful while testing. In most cases it's also
sufficient as long as the service is not in public use. The certificate will be valid
for one year.
This certificate is not signed by the SX-GATE CA.
Create a certificate request for submission to an external CA
In order to get a certificate from a public certification authority (CA), you need to
hand in a certificate signing request (CSR). The certificate which will be returned
by the CA can be installed by selecting the option below.
Select this option when there is encrypted access to SX-GATE's SMTP, POP
or IMAP server. The users' mail software will then no longer complain about a
certificate issued by an unknown CA.
