Downloading to the XtremeDSP Spartan-3A DSP Development Board
1.
Connect a Xilinx download cable to the XtremeDSP Spartan-3A DSP Development Board.
2.
To enable the JTAG programming mode, place a jumper on JP6.
3.
On the Widnows
Start
menu, click
iMPACT
.
4.
Select
Boundary Scan
.
5.
Right-click the device and click
Assign New Configuration File
on the shortcut menu that appears.
6.
Locate the SVF file (
sdsp_clock_setup.svf
as the example below), and then click
Open
.
7.
Right-click the device and click
Execute XSVF/SVF
on the shortcut menu that appears.

To complete programming the device, turn off the XtremeDSP Spartan-3A DSP Development Board, and
then turn it on again.
9.
Verify that the clock frequencies are correct.
