Insert the Card in the PCI Express Slot
1. Insert the X3522 into the 8
‑
lane PCI Express slot that you identified earlier (see
).
2. Secure the card bracket in the slot.
CAUTION! The X3522 must have sufficient air flow cooling – during normal operation the minimum
air flow required is 300 LFM (X3522) or 500 LFM (X3522PV). Server cooling fans must be fully
operative to prevent damage to the card.

ventilateurs de refroidissement du serveur doivent être entièrement opérationnels pour éviter

3. Re-install the computer casing.
4. Connect the power cord and restart the computer.
Confirm the Card is Seen by the OS
Now confirm the card is seen by the OS:
1. Login as root.
2. Confirm that you can see the PCIe devices for the X3522, by entering the following Linux
command in the terminal:
# lspci -v -d 10ee:
If the card is successfully installed and found by the operating system, a message will be
displayed. The output depends on the X3 series card that you have installed, and might also
vary depending on the current state of the card:
