General Troubleshooting
The information in this section helps you resolve some basic problems you may encounter with the
press. If the problem persists after following the instructions, contact your Xerox Representative or the
Customer Support Center.
Tip: Before contacting Customer Support, refer to the other topics within this troubleshooting
section.
Note: If your print server indicates that the press has a fault and the press touch screen does
not readily display a message, refer to the Print Reports

Problem
The press does not power on.
Solution
1. Ensure the power cord from the press is plugged into the power outlet or receptacle correctly.
a. If problem persists, press the main power switch inside the center front door to Off .
b. Firmly plug in the power cord.
c. Press the power switch on.
2. Ensure the power switch inside the center front door is set to the On position, then at the
control panel, press firmly on the Off button.
3. Ensure that the power supply is 200–240 V (volts), 30A (amperes).
4. Ensure that supplied power capacity is compatible with the specified maximum power
consumption of the press, which is 2.8–3.1 kVA (kilo-volt-ampere).
5. Check the ground fault interrupter (GFI) circuit breakers.
6. If the power in your location is working properly, and you have tried the suggested solutions
but the press does not power on, contact the Customer Support Center for assistance.

Problem
There is no power to the press and you cannot access the
Machine Status
screen to get the press
serial number.
Solution
Open paper tray. On the left frame, near tray, locate the serial number. For information, refer to
Locating the Press Serial Number .
