Tape job accounting
The Tape Client maintains a job log file, which contains
accounting data for each job. You can view and print this log.
Information is logged in the accounting file during processing at
the following times:

At the end of each file, the following information is logged:

Time stamp
–
Data blocks read
–
Completion status of the file

At the end of the print job, the following information is logged:
–
Time stamp
–
Completion status of the job
–
Valid tape mounts
–
Total data blocks read
–
JDL and JDE names
–
Queue name
–
Tape file ID
The Job Log is presented in table format, with one line for each
job ID.
Tape dump
You can request a tape dump (a printout of all the tape contents)
in order to troubleshoot a job. You print the dump by making the
appropriate specifications on the Tape Client window on the DP
EPS controller, setting up a queue with the required properties,
and running the tape job.
The tape dump is formatted in ASCII and is sent to the controller
and printed by the ASCII decomposer.
