Ink Usage Estimation
The CiPress
™
Ink Usage Estimation feature allows you to monitor how much ink is
consumed during printing and print head maintanence. In addition, you can start and
stop ink usage monitoring, as well as view ink usage by individual color on the CiPress
™
UI.
Note
Frame level usage data is also available via a log file.
You can initiate ink usage estimating from two different views:
• Run view
• Consumables view
Estimating Ink Usage - Consumables View
When initiating ink usage estimation from the Consumables view, the following
information is available:
• Session Status which appears as Inactive or Active
• Start Date and Time for the estimation process
• End Date and Time for the estimation process
• Scale increment selection (100 g, 5000 g, or 200 Kg) for ink usage results
• Estimated ink usage in grams or kilograms by individual color (C, M, Y, or K)
• Estimated total ink usage in grams or kilograms for all colors combined
Note
There is also a Start button for initiating the estimation process.
1. In the Consumables view, select the Ink Usage Estimate tab.
2. From the Scale menu, select a scale for the ink usage table.
3. Select Start to begin the estimation process.
