• If the form length is less than 6.5 inches, color patches cannot be enabled.
Note
Currently only full frame patches are supported. Check that any third-party finishing
equipment is able to support this functionality before enabling it. A future software
release will introduce partial frame patches, which is more compatible with third-party
finishing equipment.
1. Log in as an Advanced Operator or Key Operator.

Operators cannot change this setting. See Changing User Access Levels for more
information.

3. Select the Application tab.
4. Select Full Frame Patches for the Front Side (Primary / Upstream CiPress
™
). When
using a Duplex System, also select Full Frame Patches for the Back Side (Secondary
/ Downstream CiPress
™
).
5. Ensure that Color Patch Printing at Start Up is selected for the Front Side (Primary
/ Upstream CiPress
™
). When using a Duplex System, also ensure that Color Patch
Printing at Start Up is selected for the Back Side.
6. Enter a frequency for Page Frames Per Patch.
Note
The lower the number entered for this option, the greater the ability of the Image
Sensor to detect missing jets. For example, if a value of 1,000 is set for this option,
a color patch is printed for the first frame of the job and for every subsequent 1,000
frames.

A print line defines a specific sequence of web transport devices, beginning with a device
from which the web is sourced (typically an unwinder), and ending with the final web
handling device (such as a rewinder or a stacker). Each print line must contain either
one or two CiPress
™
Printers. A number of other devices, including turn bars, blowers, and
cutters, may also be included within the print line. When defining a print line, you must
specify the physical distance between all devices in the print line, starting with the
upstream printer, through the final device in the print line.
