4. If the paper is torn, check inside the printer for pieces of paper, then gently remove them. For

5. Close the left side door.
6. Fan the paper that you removed and ensure that all four corners align neatly.
7. Load paper into the tray. Ensure that the leading edge of the paper lightly touches the paper-
feed entrance.
8. At the prompt, verify the paper settings:
• To select a new paper size, touch

• To select a new paper type, touch
Type
.
• To select a new paper color, touch
Color
.
• To confirm the settings, touch
Confirm
.
9. To return to the Home screen, press the
Home
button.

To resolve the error that appears on the control panel, follow the instructions provided and remove all
paper from the Tray 6 area.
1. Pull Tray 6 away from the side of the printer until the tray stops. Remove any jammed paper from
the back of the tray.
2. Open the left side door of the printer. Remove any jammed paper from the left side door areas.
3. Close the left side door, then wait 10 seconds. Any paper currently in transport inside the printer
moves to the left side area.
4. Open the left side door. Remove any jammed paper from the left side door areas.
