Inspect the paper level in Tray.
Are there at least 100 sheets of paper in Tray 1?

Inspect the paper level in the MBF.
Is there paper in the MBF?

4 MBF TRAY TEST PRINT
1. Enter Diagnostics mode.
2. From the Main Menu, select Test Print / Input Tray /
MBF / press [4] to select MBF as Input Tray.
3. From the Main Menu, select Test Print / Print Pattern /
press [4] to generate a test print.
Does the Load MBF message appear when you
feed paper from the MBF?

TRAY 1 TEST PRINT
1. Enter Diagnostics mode.
2. From the Main Menu, select Test Print / Input Tray /

press [4] to generate a test print.
Does the Load Tray 1 message appear when you
feed paper from Tray 1?

6 BOTTOM PLATE INSPECTION
1. Remove Tray 1 from the printer.
2. Remove the Tray Cover, if installed, and all paper from
the tray.
3. Insert Tray into the printer and inspect the Bottom
Plate.
Is the bottom plate raised fully and evenly?
