Operating temperature control
The Wildcat sensor is equipped with a thermo-electric cooler (TEC). This allows you to
keep the sensor at a fixed low temperature, reducing noise and dark current. The camera
housing acts as a heat sink for this cooler, so performance will be dependent on the
thermal environment around the camera.
Current sensor temperature is displayed in
Device control
– Temperature.
Current camera housing temperature is displayed in
Cooling control
– Camera
temperature.
To enable the TEC, enter a desired temperature setpoint in
Cooling control
– Target
temperature
and toggle
Cooling control
– Enable
to
True
.
