The VER command is available to all profiles. 

3.4.20  The VOL Command 

This command sets the volume of the receiver‟s headphone output.  The syntax is: VOL 
[v] where [v] is a value greater than or equal to 0 (mute) and less than or equal to 63 (full 
volume).
