Trailer Adjustment
Wheel Spacing
VersaTrakr/VersaTrail
The wheel spacing on the VersaTrakr/VersaTrail is ad
-
justable from 80” - 120”. An optional axle is available for
120”-160” spacing. The 14.9xR46 tractor style tires can
be adjusted through the full adjustment. Optional 24.5x32
hi-flotation tires can be spaced 92” -160”.
Make sure that the VersaTrakr/VersaTrail is attached to a
tractor for stability and if possible, unfold the boom. Raise
one side of the trailer and secure on a solid support. Loosen
the lock bolt and the U-bolt on the axle to be moved. Slide
the axle to the desired location and tighten the lock bolt
and U-bolt. Repeat on the opposite side.
Make sure that all people are clear of the trailer when
the axle is moved in or out. Failure to secure the
frame to a solid support can result in the sprayer
sliding off of the support causing severe injury or
death to anyone under the sprayer.
WyngTrakr
The WyngTrakr axle adjusts from 72” - 80” in a similar
manner to the VersaTrakr/VersaTrail. A non-adjustable
120” axle is also available.
Spray Wyng II Single Axle Trailer
The 1,000 gallon single axle trailer is equipped with either
a non-adjustable 80” or 120” axle.
VersaTrakr/WyngTrakr Articulated Tongue
The articulated tongue has a closed hydraulic system that
controls movement of the trailer.
Excessive “whipping” of the VersaTrakr/WyngTrakr is a sign
of low hydraulic fluid level in the frame reservoir. Relieve
the air pressure from the reservoir, remove the plug and
add hydraulic oil until the oil runs out of the hole. Replace
the plug and recharge the air pressure to 40 psi. Call the
nearest Wylie Spray Center for procedures to bleed the
cylinders and hoses if necessary.
VersaTrail/Single Axle Hitch Adjustment
The spray trailers feature an adjustable hitch to maintain a
level trailer and boom with different tractor drawbar heights.
With the trailer pinned to the tractor drawbar and the parking
jack supporting the tongue, remove the two hitch pins. Level
the trailer with the jack, then insert and lock the pins.
