6.11.12 Marine Head
The marine head is powered by the fuse panel, and has a separate control panel mounted near the head.
The control panel activates the solenoid to allow for water intake and discharge. A macerator pump is
incorporated into the head. See Chapter 10 in this manual for operating instructions.
6.11.13 Anchor Windlass
Use to deploy and retrieve the anchor. This accessory is controlled by a dedicated switch at the helm
and can also be controled at the bow with up and down foot switches. The fuse is located at the battery
management panel.
World Cat provides a standard anchor windlass manufactured by Lewmar. With this feature, you will receive
the windlass, an anchor, anchor rope, and chain which is matched to your vessel’s size. The rocker switch
to control the windlass is mounted at the helm, foot switches are also installed at the windlass for ease of
operation. The manufacturer’s instruction manual, detailing their use, is provided in the Owner’s Portfolio.
The circuit breaker for the anchor windlass is mounted in the center of the battery management panel.
The panel is connected to the “Stbd Start” battery switch. If you choose not to have the factory install your
windlass, World Cat provides wires in the deck harness to allow for aftermarket installs. Regardless of type,
a directional control solenoid and rocker style switch will be needed to add the aftermarket windlass. Please
refer to the windlass’s user manual provided in the Owner's Portfolio for proper installation.
NOTICE
Windlasses used incorrectly could cause harm to equipment or crew. Windlasses should be used with
care and treated with respect. Lewmar windlasses are designed and supplied for anchor control in
marine applications and are not to be used in conjunction with any other use. It is the unavoidable
responsibility of the owner or master or other responsible part to assess the risk of any operation on
the vessel.
6.11.14 Windshield Wipers (Optional)
The pantograph-style, heavy-duty, waterproof windshield wipers with rinse are operated by a dedicated
rocker switch at the helm and function identically to those found on passenger automobiles.
6.11.15 Horn
This functions identically to the horn found on a passenger automobile and is operated by the switch labeled
“Horn” on the dash switch panel.
6.11.16 Accessory Switch (ACCY)
Switches labeled "ACCY" can be used to operate aftermarket products. Be aware of the power requirements
for any add-on products, so you do not exceed the capacity of the breaker supplying the switch. Failure to do
so could damage the appliance and/or the electrical system.
6.11.17 Power Assist Steering
The power assist unit provides automobile like steering on your catamaran. The unit is installed in the
console between the helm and steering rams. The power for the unit is connected to the port key switch.
6.11.18 Windshield
The center windshield panel should be closed and latched at any time the boat is underway.
