Discrete Inputs
The discrete inputs may be grouped into two categories:
• Programmable

LogicsManager or preconfigured alarms such as "emergency stop".
◦ The following sections describe how these functions are assigned.

◦ The function of a discrete input can be changed if required.

◦ The following description of the inputs, labeled with "programmable", refers to

the preconfiguration.

This discrete input is configured as alarm class F and is
not delayed by the engine speed.

Enabled in the AUTOMATIC operation mode
This discrete input is configured as a Control input in the
alarm class and is not delayed by the engine speed.
• Energized
•
If the unit is in the AUTOMATIC operation mode
(selected with the operating mode selection push
button on the front panel) the controlled engine is
started automatically.
• De-energized
•
The engine is stopped.

This discrete input is configured as alarm class B and is
delayed by the engine speed.
