Check the up/down gearbox

Add a synthetic gear oil such as Mobil Glygoyle 460 as needed.

Drain and refill the gearbox

with 24 (0.7L) ounces of oil after every 5000 hours of sawmill

operation or every 2 years, whichever comes first.

NOTE:

Wood-Mizer offers replacement gear oil in 8 ounce (0.24L) bot-

tles.

5.16 Power Feed

WARNING!

Before performing service near moving parts such as

blades, pulleys, motors, belts and chains, first turn the key switch to
the OFF (0) position and remove the key. Failure to follow this could
result in death or serious injury.

WARNING!

Disconnect the negative battery terminal cable

. Failure

ADJUST THE POWER FEED BELT

When the power feed belt gets loose, it will begin slipping. This causes the carriage to not
move forward when cutting.

Remove the belt cover.

Replace any damaged or worn belts, if needed.
