Hydro System
WARNING!
Hydraulic fluid is pressurized! ALWAYS keep
well away from any leaks or loose connections while sys-
tem is pressurized!
WARNING!
HYDRAULIC FLUID IS HOT! Always allow
ample time for hydraulic fluid to cool before changing or
repairing leaks!
CAUTION!
Be sure to use the correct fluid in the hydraulic
tank! Check fluid level and quality daily! Incorrect fluid,
inadequate fluid level, or contaminated fluid will cause dam-
age to the hydraulic system!
See Figure 5-4.
Check the hydraulic fluid level on a regular basis. The hydraulic oil tank
is located between the fuel and water lube tanks. A sight gauge is located in the top tank
fitting. Add fluid as necessary to keep the fluid level up to the sight gauge indicator.
Do
not overfill.
The system uses a specific type of oil that is formulated to prolong the life of
the hydrostatic pumps. Use only Shell TTF-SB or Mobil Synthetic 20W50 oil in the sys-
tem. Wood-Mizer offers Shell TTF-SB replacement oil in 32 oz. bottles (Part No. 040642).
