Chapter 1: Introduction
Today, with improvements in technology and changes in the way healthcare is
delivered,
WittRock
is designing products to continuously meet the changing
needs of the healthcare industry.
The flexibility of the Integris® 2002 Headwall System is the solution to
changes in patient acuity levels, hospital occupancy rate, and technology. This
flexibility is demonstrated in the ability of the Integris® 2002 Headwall
System to quickly add or relocate ancillary equipment on the upper and lower
accessory tracks.
The Integris® 2002 Headwall System eliminates the cluttered look of current
headwalls and offers a clean, contemporary environment. The unit accepts new
equipment that may not have been planned for and provides physical support
of secondary equipment, brackets, shelves, and other patient headwall-related
items.
The Integris® 2002 Headwall System consists of a console raceway for
delivery of power and gas services from the wall. The raceway carries power
lines and supports auxiliary equipment. The area under the raceway contains
the piping for medical gases.
