The W
ireless Keypad enables any authorized user to ‘Arm’
and ‘Disarm’ the alarm system by simply entering a 4 digit
Access Code’ at the keypad. When used with a S100 Siren
and Strobe with an Entry/Exit delay facility, the keypad
enables the system to be armed with a 15 second
Entry/Exit delay option. The keypad also incorporates Dual
Personal Attack (Panic) buttons and an Anti-tamper switch.
In addition, if random keys are pressed, after the 16th key is
pressed the unit will lock out and the ‘On Air’ light will flash
for 15 seconds. If this happens 3 times in succession, a full
alarm condition will occur.
Installation
The W
ireless Keypad is designed for mounting on a
flat
wall either inside or outside the pr
operty, within the radio
range of the system.
Impor
tant:
DO NOT fix the keypad to metalwork or locate
the unit within 1m of Metalwork (ie. radiators, rain water
pipes etc), as this could affect the radio range of the keypad.
When the keypad is installed inside the property, the system
must be armed to give an Entry/Exit delay (refer to page 10
of your installation and operating manual). If the Siren &
Strobe does not have an entry/exit delay facility then the
keypad must be installed outside the protected area.
1. Remove the rubber gasket from the back of the unit.
Using the Allen key supplied, undo and remove the
backplate securing screw from the bottom of the unit
and remove the backplate.
2. Using the backplate as a template, mark the positions
of the two fixing holes on the wall, remove the backplate
and drill two 4mm holes and insert the plastic wall plugs
supplied. Secure the backplate directly to the wall
using the screws provided.
Note: If the keypad is to be fitted outside, fit the r
ubber
gasket between the backplate and the wall, to provide a
weatherseal.
3. Pull the battery from it’s compartment, connect the
battery to the battery connector and refit the battery into
it’s compartment.
4. Fit the keypad to the backplate and secure using the fixing
screw and Allen key. Retain the Allen key for future use.
Pr
ogramming
The keypad r
equires two, separate codes to be
programmed into it during installation:
House Code: This enables the keypad to communicate
with the solar siren and strobe and must be set the same as
the House Code Dip switch settings in the other items in
your system.
Access Code: This is the 4-digit code that the authorized
user(s) enter at the keypad to arm and disarm the system.
On initial power-up the keypad has a preset Access Code
of 1234 and it is this code that is used during initial
programming of the keypad. Once the Access Code has
been changed the keypad will only operate on your new
Access Code.
Impor
tant:
Do not confuse the ‘House Code’ (‘Dip Switch’
setting) with the ‘Access Code’ (user operating code). The
two codes are not related.
When using the keypad the keys must be pressed firmly
and within 5 seconds of each other.
If you make a
mistake, wait 5 seconds and recommence programming
from the beginning of the sequence.
SETTING YOUR HOUSE CODE
1.
For security reasons the keypad does not incorporate
the ‘Dip Switches’ found in the rest of your system’s
equipment. The ‘House Code’ has to be programmed
into the unit using the keypad push buttons. You
therefore need to make a note of your ‘House Code’
ie. the switches set to ‘ON’ in your system. (If you
are uncertain of your ‘House Code’, open up your

Switches in the battery compartment, and make a note
of the settings below).
2. To programme the ‘House Code’ press the following
keys in sequence :-
Remember to use YOUR House Code settings when
programming in YOUR House Code.
Ensur
e the ‘On Air’ light flashes 5 times to confirm the
setting has been accepted. (If the ‘On Air’ light does not
flash, wait 5 seconds and re-enter the programming
sequence from the beginning).

Y SETTING YOUR ACCESS CODE
On initial power up the keypad has a factor
y preset ‘Access
Code’ of 1234. However for security reasons it is essential
that you immediately change the Access Code to another
4-digit number which only you and other users of the
system know (usually a number with a personal significance
is easier to remember).
