Exhaust gas system
The exhaust gas system collects the exhaust gas of the cylinders in a manifold. The remaining
energy of the exhaust gas is used to operate the turbine of the turbocharger (002,

The exhaust gas system has the parts that follow:
•
Exhaust valve
The exhaust valve (004) of each cylinder releases the exhaust gas of the combustion into
the exhaust gas manifold.
•
Exhaust gas manifold
The exhaust gas manifold (003) collects the exhaust gas from the cylinders.
•
Turbocharger bypass pipe
Usually the engine has a turbocharger bypass pipe (001) for different operating conditions.
