SECTION 7 –
PLUMBING
7-14
TANK HEATERS
Your motorhome is equipped with black
water, gray water, and water tank heaters to allow
use of systems in freezing temperatures. The tank
heater power switch is located near the monitor
panel. The illuminated switch will glow when the
power is on.
DO NOT operate the tank heater for an
extended time unless you are providing a
supplemental 12-volt power source to recharge
the Pure
3
battery. This means either the shoreline
cord must be plugged into a 120-volt source or
the chassis engine must be running (such as when
driving down the road). This will prevent
excessive discharge of the Pure
3
battery.
NOTE: The tank heater pads are electrical
resistant-type heating elements. This type
of heating element typically uses a large
amount of power while operating.
WATERLINE AND TANK DRAIN
VALVES
The waterline and tank drain valves are used
to drain water from the water tank and the water
supply lines when preparing the motorhome for
storage or when sanitizing the water system.
See the “Water System Drain Valve
Locations” chart at the end of this section for
locations on your model.
