4.5 Prepare cylinder installation
Shorten face plate screw
Note
Damage caused by face plate screw being too
long.
A face plate screw being too long can damage
or shatter parts of the door, such as glass
components.
Measure required face plate screw and shorten
with metal saw if necessary without damaging
the face plate screw or the threaded hole in the
cylinder.
Incorrectly mounted anti-pulling protection fittings
Note
Increased risk of burglary due to incorrect or
incorrectly installed anti-pulling protection
fittings.
Anti-pulling protection fittings secure cylinders
against extraction by burglars. Incorrect or
incorrectly installed anti-pulling protection fittings
reduce burglary protection.
If you intend to install anti-pulling protection
fittings, you need to contact a specialist dealer
beforehand to select the right anti-pulling
protection fitting.
