Replacing the Power Cord and/or Switch

These are general maintenance guidelines. 

Please consult your owner’s manual prior to performing any repairs or maintenance on this machine.

Before you begin:

 Turn the machine off and unplug it.

1.

 Refer to this 

picture when 

connecting a new 

switch or power 

cord.

2.

 Push the button 

on the back of the 

vacuum to release 

the handle.

3.

 Pull the handle 

up to remove it.

 Using a #7 nut 

driver, remove 

the nut holding 

the green wire in 

place.

4. 

Using a Phillips 

screwdriver, 

remove the screw 

from the back of 

the handle.

5. 

Pull to separate 

the front and back 

of the handle.

Note: 

You may 

need to use a 

small flat tip 

screwdriver to 

gently pry the 

handle apart.

6. 

Pull the handle 

apart to access 

the power cord 

and switch wiring.
