RF generator
To gain access to this menu, push the [RF Gen] marker tab while working with
the generator/analyzer tool.
This menu allows to set the parameters of the RF Generator.
The RF generator can be set to generate radio signals from 800 to 2000 MHz;
either as continuous or as burst signals.
Modulation can be GMSK – or the signals can be totally unmodulated in order
to stimulate pure RF circuitry.
The RF generator menu consists of the following main areas:
– The
system area
allows to set the generator frequency either in MHz or in
GSM channel numbers.
– The
signal type area
is where you select bursted or continuous signals.
– The
modulation area
allows to set the modulation parameters.
– The
RF Out area
allows to define individual output levels for the different
time slots when a multislot signal type is selected.
Parameters of the system
area
The output frequency of the RF generator and the RF output power level are set
in this area.
System —
Selection field to set the frequency range of the channel numbers
above 511.
