Danger zone PTO shaft
Persons can get caught up on, drawn in and seriously injured by
the cardan shaft.
➢
Observe the cardan shaft operating instructions.
➢
Maintain a sufficient overlap of the profile pipe and
cardan shaft guard.
➢
Ensure that the cardan shaft guards are fitted and
working as they should.
➢
Allow the cardan shaft fastenings to snap into position
correctly.
➢
Prevent the cardan shaft guards from being dragged
along by hooking up the chains.
➢
Ensure that there are no persons in the danger area of
the p.t.o. shaft or cardan shaft.
➢
Ensure that the selected speed and direction of rotation
of the tractor's p.t.o shaft match the permitted speed
and direction of rotation of the machine.
➢
If the angle between the cardan shaft and p.t.o. shaft is
too great, shut down the p.t.o. shaft.
The machine can be damaged. Parts can be thrown
out and cause personal injuries.
Moving parts pose a risk of crushing
➢
Never reach into the crush-risk area when parts are
moving or could move there.

Observe the information provided in all relevant
operating instructions:

Danger zone between tractor and machine
Anyone remaining between the tractor and the machine can potentially suffer serious or even fatal injuries due to machine
movements, the tractor rolling away or carelessness:

Prior to performing any work between the tractor and machine, shut down and secure the machine,
see Section 3.7.1 "Shutting down and securing the machine". This also applies to quick checks.
Hazardous Area of Slingshots
When the machine is switched on, no persons may remain in the danger area.
There is a risk of injury due to objects being thrown out or flying around.
