WARNING!
Do not install this product or route any
wires in the deployment area of your air bag. Equipment
mounted or located in the air bag deployment area will
damage or reduce the effectiveness of the air bag, or
become a projectile that could cause serious personal
injury or death. Refer to your vehicle owners manual for
the air bag deployment area. The User/Installer
assumes full responsibility to determine proper
mounting location, based on providing ultimate safety
to all passengers inside the vehicle.
1.
Starting at one end and working across, carefully pry off
the front vent panel. This panel sits between the
windshield and dashboard. Remove the panel from the
vehicle.
2.
Place the lower bracket on the vent panel. It should sit
in the center of the panel, centered on the raised area
that meets the dashboard. Scribe 2 mounting holes
onto the vent panel.
3.
Remove the bracket and drill two .187” mounting holes
then secure the bracket to the vent panel with the
supplied screw and lock nut (see reverse).
4.
Next mount the upper bracket to the lighthead. You will
use the existing screws that hold the hood onto the
lighthead. The upper bracket, like the hood, can be
mounted onto the top or bottom of the TN depending
upon which side you want the pattern switch and wire
exit to be located.
5.
Thread the two supplied Phillips pan head sheet metal
screws about half way into the lower bracket, then re-
install the vent panel (with bracket attached) onto the
dash.
6.
Slide the upper bracket down down onto these screws
and tighten using a long (10” min.) screwdriver to
secure it (see reverse for illustrations and part
numbers).
