2.7.4 Auto
Within this function user can select 3 different kinds of auto testing:
Auto Pacing
Preset all the required combination for pacing test. For IEC60601-2-27 test, please turn on
the option of IEC 60601-2-27 ECG Waveform in Signal Parameter (refer to section 2.6.1). The
auto pacing test shall be conducted with patient monitor with trend mode. If patient monitor
can reject the pacing pulse, the heat rate shall not be affected.
For IEC60601-2-27 test, it requires synchronized test (heart rate/pacing 60 BPM) and
asynchronized test (heart rate 30 BPM, pacing 80 BPM).
In addition, ±2mV pacing pulse uses a single range. Change the range can lead to the
immediate change of switch and the heart rate shall be affected. Hence, we suggest to
conduct an individual test for ±2mV.
In our experience, we suggest the interval for at least 30 seconds. User shall conduct a quick
test to verify the trend mode can display the issue (ex. Set a wrong heart rate for 10 seconds
and assure the patient monitor can detect the wrong heart rate)
Please note that most patient monitors are having issues with overshoot signal. User shall
conduct the auto pacing test with patient monitor which can handle overshoot signal or
test separately (limit overshoot time to 0ms).
Auto Heart Rate
Select the required combination of heart rate tests. For IEC60601-2-27 test, please turn on
the option of IEC 60601-2-27 ECG Waveform in Signal Parameter (refer to section 2.6.1).
The auto heart rate test shall be conducted with the trend mode, can program groups
based on different heart rates.
