CONNECTING TO EXTERNAL AV RECEIVER
1. VIDEO BUT NO AUDIO
A.
Make sure all audio cables are properly connected between the TV and source device
B.
Make sure the TV is not muted
C.
Check the volume level
D.
Check other inputs to see if audio works with a different source
2. AUDIO IS TOO LOUD OR TOO LOW ON DIFFERENT INPUTS
A.
Check to setup menu to see if the TV has Automatic Volume Control (AVC), also called Level Set. Turning this
feature on will level the volume across al inputs. To achieve this equalized leveling the TV’s volume is reduced
to match the lowest volume of all inputs.
3. AUDIO DROPS IN AND OUT
A.
Make sure all audio cables are properly connected between the TV and source device
4. AUDIO FROM THE AV RECEIVER IS TOO LOW
A.
The signal from the TV’s audio output is not amplified so you must adjust the AV receivers
volume to the desired listening level
1.
Connect audio cable from the TV to the AV receiver.
2.
Power on TV and AV Receiver.
3.
Using the TV’s setup menu (refer to TV User’s Manual for menu navigation) select audio settings select the speaker
setting of your choice On to listen to both internal and external speakers Off to listen to external speakers only.
4.
You may also connect other source devices such as DVD players, Game consoles, cable, and satellite boxes directly to
the TV. If you do not plan to use the TV’s internal speakers, connect other devices directly to the AV receiver.
