Before first Use
Remove the device from the packaging and dispose of the packaging
material that is not required (e.g. foil) or keep it in a place that is inaccessible
to children. There is a risk of suffocation!
Intended Use
The rigid foam cutter is intended for profile and circular cuts in rigid foam
panels such as Styrofoam, Alporite, pipe insulation and polystyrene ceiling
panels.
Operation
1.
Use the included hex key to attach the blade in its holder as shown in the
title picture.
2.
Insert the plug into a suitable socket. Use the red ON/OFF trigger switch and
use the red dial on top of the unit to control the temperature up to a
maximum of 550°C.
The temperature is ideal when the material is easily cut without overheating
and smoking.
3.
The device needs a few moments to reach the set temperature. Once the
blade has reached the set temperature, it will remain so as long as the
ON/OFF switch is pressed.
Danger! There is a risk of burns! Keep body parts away from the hot blade.
Toxic gases are produced when cutting hard foam, polystyrene, etc. Ensure
adequate ventilation.
Use the sharp edge of the blade to cut out the desired material or to make a
cutting line. Use the full width of the blade to cut wide grooves in the
material.
4.
When finished, release the ON/OFF switch.
Note that the blade will still be hot for some time. Allow the device to cool
down completely before putting it down.
5.
When not in use, pull the plug out of the socket.
Cleaning and Storage
Before cleaning, pull out the mains plug and let the device cool down a bit!
To clean the device, use the enclosed brass brush and a slightly damp cloth.
It is advisable to clean the blade while it is still warm (not hot!).
Do not use any aggressive cleaning substances, scouring agents or similar for
cleaning.
