Cleaning/Replacing the Spark Plug
A good spark plug condition is influenced by an
incorrectly adjusted carburettor, wrong oil and fuel
mixture, a large gap of the electrodes or a dirty air
filter. These factors can cause deposits on the spark
plug electrodes which may result in starting difficulties
or operating problems.
1. Pull the socket for the spark plug.
2. Unscrew the spark plug with the included spark
plug wrench by turning counter clockwise and
remove it.
3. Clean the electrodes with a wire brush and reset
the gap to approx. 0.65 mm, if necessary. The
fastening torque has to be 15 to 21 Nm.
Always use the correct spark plug type (NHSP
LD L8RTG). The use of wrong spark plugs can
damage the piston and the cylinder.
Carburettor
The carburettor of the hedge trimmer is factory adjusted. If fine adjustments are
necessary due to change in operating conditions, adjustment should only be
carried out by a professional. Incorrect tuning may result to damages to the hedge
trimmer.
Cleaning
Do not clean the housing with sharp detergents or aggressive chemicals in
order not to damage the surfaces. Use only a lightly moistened cloth for
cleaning.
Make sure the ventilation slots are always clean and free of debris. If
necessary, clean the ventilation slots with a soft brush.
Oil the blade bar after cleaning and before using again.
Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, dust-free and frost-protected place.
