Lubricating the Gear Case of the Blade Bar
Do not operate the hedge trimmer without sufficient gear case lubrication.
Insufficient lubrication will shorten the service life of the hedge trimmer.
Preferably lubricate the gear case every 15 –
20 hours of operation. Only use lithium-based
lubricant.
1. Thoroughly wipe clean the grease nipple.
2. Press the grease pump once or twice on
the nipple. Do not force the grease nipple
while pumping.
Cleaning the Air Filter
1. Open the air filter cover by turning the screw (12)
counter clockwise. Remove the air filter cover.
2. Take out the foam filter. Clean it with warm, soapy
water. Never use gasoline for cleaning the foam
filter!
3. Allow the foam filter to dry completely before
installing into the hedge trimmer. Reattach in re-
verse order.
4. If the foam filter is heavily soiled or damaged,
replace it with a new one.
Cleaning the Fuel Filter
1. Use a wire hook and take out the filter
from the fuel tank. The filter is located at
the end of the black tube.
2. Wash the filter with gasoline. If
necessary, replace the filter with a new
original replacement part.
