Picture Ledge
(2 foot, 3 foot and 4 foot)
Mounting Instructions
Tools Required:
Phillips Screwdriver, Level,
Pencil, Stud Finder
Hardware Included:
2 foot: TWO Screws, TWO Anchors
3 and 4 foot: THREE Screws, THREE Anchors
All Sizes: Mounting Template
Mounting Instructions:
1)
Hold the provided template level against a wall in a desired mounting location. Use a pencil to mark the
wall through the template (pierce it) at the two or three graphic circles. Remove the template. The
remaining marks are the locations for the hanging hardware.
2)
If any of the marks of Step (1) align with a wall stud (use a stud finder to determine this), do not use the
provided anchors since they cannot penetrate wood. Use a screwdriver to secure a screw directly into
the wall and stud at that mark. Rotate the screw clockwise until the screw head is about 3/8 inch from
the wall.
3)
For the marks that do not align with a wall stud, use the screwdriver to install an anchor into the wall.
Place the tip of the anchor at the mark and use the screwdriver to both rotate the anchor (clockwise)
and firmly push it into the wall. The anchor will drive itself into the wall like a screw. Continue rotating
the anchor until its wide end is even with the wall surface. Do not over-tighten.
4)
Use the screwdriver to secure a provided metal screw into each installed anchor. Rotate the screw
clockwise until the screw head is about 3/8 inch from the wall.
5)
Lift the ledge against the wall and engage the screw heads with the keyhole openings. Lower the ledge
so it rests on the screws. You may have to adjust the screws a bit to ensure a tight fit between the
ledge and the wall.
