OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Be fo re ope ra ting the press, re pla ce the oil plug (ref.A, fig.5) on the cylin der with the ho led one
(ref.B, fig.5) sup plied by the ma nu fac tu rer.
Po si tion the bed of the press (ref. 1, Fig. 4) at the de si red he ight, lif ting it first on one side and in -
ser ting one of the pins (2) into the hole in the press body di rectly be ne ath, then re pe a ting this step
for the ot her side as well.

WARNING
NEVER OPERATE THE WINCH WITH FINGERS CLOSE TO THE GEAR WHEEL.
IT IS ABSOLUTELY FORBIDDEN TO OPERATE WITH THE BED HANGING BY THE ROPES
OF THE WINCH: ALL WORK OPERATIONS ARE TO BE MADE WITH THE BED RESTING
ON THE PINS AND THE WINCH ENTIRELY FREE.
Po si tion the prisms (ref. 3, Fig. 4) on the bed (1).
Insert the le ver of the pump (4) into its re la ti ve seat (5) on the pump.
Fig. 6 shows the uses re la ti ve to the po si tions of the two dials on the pump.
Ope ra te the le ver to lo wer the ram, carry out the work then bring the ram back to rest with the re -
la ti ve dial (Fig. 6).
The pump ope ra ting le ver is the reby free to be able to be ex trac ted or mo ved if it gets in the way
of work on the press.
MAINTENANCE
Oil the mo ving parts of the press eve ry six months and check ope ra tion of the pres su re gau ge.
The hydrau lic unit (cylin der/pump) is a sea led sy stem that in nor mal con di tions re qui res only six-
monthly lu bri ca tion of the mo ving parts. In the event of the hydrau lic unit lea king oil and being di -
smantled in or der to re pla ce the seals, it will be ne ces sa ry to add oil through the fil ler hole on the
pump (ref. 6, Fig. 5) un til the pump has been fil led up to the le vel of the hole itself. This ope ra tion
has to be done with
the ram at rest and the re fo re ful ly re tracted
. The oil in the hydrau lic units
should anyhow be re pla ced eve ry two years in de pen dently of the ge ne ral con di tions of the unit.
Use hydrau lic oil with visco sity from 22° to 25°.
The tab le shown here gi ves the quan tity of oil nee ded for each type of press.
A greater amount of oil could cause trouble.

NEVER use brake oil.
SPECIAL INFORMATION
The wa ste oil ta ken from the press has to be di spo sed of in com -
plian ce with the laws in for ce in the coun try whe re the ma chi ne is
in stal led.
If the press is to be de stroyed, all the me tal parts can be recycled;
the rub ber ho ses and the press fluids have to be di spo sed of in
com plian ce with the laws in for ce in the coun try whe re the ma chi ne
is in stal led.
