5. Secure the cuff with the Velcro
closure in such a way that it lies
comfortably and is not too tight.
Lay the arm on the table (palm
upward) so the cuff is at the same
height as the heart. Make sure the
tube is not kinked.
6. Remain seated quietly for two
minutes before you begin the
measurement.
Note : If it is not possible to fit the cuff to the left arm, it can be
placed on the right one. However, all measurements should be
made using the same arm.
Measuring procedure
After the cuff has been positioned appropriately, the
measurement can begin.
1. Press the Start/Stop button. The tube
should not yet be attached to the
instrument. The following appears in
the display for 2 seconds: (Diag.). A
short tone follows to indicate that the
instrument has equalized with the
pressure of the surroundings and the
measurement can therefore begin. A
«O» is shown in the display.
2. Plug the T-connecting piece or the free end of the tube into
the left side of the instrument.
