5.6 OMNIVAC holder
To fasten the OMNIVAC secretion pump into the case
bottom, use the holder for the OMNIVAC (23). Click the
holder into the case bottom as shown in the illustration.
If the distance between the case and the patient is too
great, it may be necessary to remove the collection contai-
ner from the holder and take advantage of the length of the
extension hose.
Important
Always hold the collection container upright. You can
prevent activation of the overflow protection and thus avoid
interrupting suction activity.
6 Hygiene preparation
Clean the case inside and out with a simple disinfectant
as required. Observe the User’s Manual for the disinfec-
ting product used. We recommend Terralin
®
. You are
recommended to wear suitable gloves (e.g. household or
disposable gloves) during disinfection procedures. Take all
the devices and materials out of the case.
If your case is equipped with an oxygen cylinder, the
external fittings have to be cleaned. For this purpose, use a
clean, dry cloth or a cloth slightly dampened with water.
Equipment components
Follow instructions for cleaning, disinfecting or, if required,
sterilizing in the accompanying directions.
