5. Hygienic preparation
This product may contain disposable items.
Disposable
items are intended to be used only once. So use these
items only once and do
not
reprocess them. Reprocess-
ing disposable items may impair the functionality and
safety of the product and lead to unforeseeable reac-
tions as a result of ageing, embrittlement, wear, ther-
mal load, the effects of chemical processes, etc.
5.1 Intervals
• The mask

should be cleaned daily after usage,
with thorough cleaning being carried out accord-
ing to the operating instructions once a week.
• Check the filters regularly:
– clean / change the coarse dust filter once a
week;
– change the fine filter depending on the level
of soiling, but at least every 250 hours (filter
change indicator

).
• Regularly wipe clean the housing of the
SOMNO smart 2 and the filter compartment cover

• The hose system

should be cleaned according
to the level of soiling, however at least once a
month. The pressure measurement tube

must be
changed at least every 6 months and earlier in the
case of soiling (see “8.3 Change pressure mea-
surement tube” on page 38).
• The exhalation system

use.
• Wash the headgear
