4. Operation
4.1 Before initial usage
Before initial usage the humidifier should be
rinsed thoroughly with water (see "5. Hygien-
ic preparation " page 30).
4.2 Using the unit
Filling breath humidifier
1. Open the filling plug

on the breath hu-
midifier.
2. Fill the breath humidifier with distilled wa-
ter up to the marking.
If you do not have any distilled water to
hand, you can use boiled water contain-
ing little lime as an exception. When do-
ing so make sure that no limescale is left
on the heating element (see "5.3 Descal-
ing " page 34).
• When being filled, the breath humidifier
should not be attached to the therapy
unit.
• Do not fill the breath humidifier with hot
water.
• Do not fill the breath humidifier above the
max. filling level.
• The use of aromatic substances, e.g. eu-
calyptus oil, may damage the material of
the chamber.
