ECO operation (DIN contact)
The ECO function is used for operation with optimised energy cost and consumption. If the auxiliary hygiene
parameters defined in the standard meet the corresponding specifications, the swimming pool water circulation
can be reduced. This operation mode is intended for night-time operation or during light usage (few bathers).
There are two operation modes: the Master and the Slave operation.
Operation mode: Master
In the Master operation mode, the controller switches to ECO operation in accordance with the time blocks
selected in the Times menu.
Operation mode: Slave
In the Slave operation mode, a signal from the central swimming pool control initiates the ECO operation.
The ECO output (DIN contact) is used for feedback to the central swimming pool control. It may be used for
reducing the circulation performance. The notification only occurs if the threshold of the redox voltage has
been exceeded.
Chlorine:
Second parameter set for the reduced setpoint
Redox:
Threshold for the ECO release contact in Slave
operation mode.
Times:
Implemented week timer to specify the ECO
operation times.
A second parameter set is available for the optimisation of the
chemical consumption.
Since the ECO operation should only be initiated when the
water quality complies with the regulations, a threshold is
assigned for the redox voltage.
The controller can only switch to ECO operation if the redox
voltage ≥ the threshold.
If the redox voltage drops below the threshold during ECO
operation, the ECO operation is terminated.
