Setting the Volume Controls
.
1. Verify the Control Panel on the HPSA is set to the
Main Menu
by pressing the
CANCEL
button located on the bottom right side of the Control Panel keypad as

Used to set the input Audio from the External Audio Source into
the HPSA.

Adjusts all volume levels. Controls the volume at the speaker
array. This adjustment is also configurable from the Control
Panel.

MAY DAMAGE EQUIPMENT. DO NOT EXCEED THE
NOTED VALUE.
Note:
If the installation requires limited sound output (less than
maximum rated power), reduce the Master Volume Setting and
to avoid possible excessive sound levels in the Protected Area,
the MSTRLIM should be set to equal the (reduced) Master Vol-
ume setting.
MstrLim

The MstrLim is a factory-set level which limits the maximum
level for the Master volume. Values above 982 are not recom-
mended. If the installation requires limited sound output (less
than maximum rated power), then to avoid possible excessive
sound levels in the Protected Area, the MSTRLIM should be set
to equal the (reduced) Master Volume setting.

to the speakers. These channel levels are identical and shall
remain at the default setting.

Adjusts the line level of the on-board test alarms. This level is
factory set and shall not be adjusted.
SlntTone

Silent Tone provides supervision of the audio path to the speak-
ers. This level is factory-set and shall not be adjusted.
SlntMstr

Silent Master adjusts the output of the Silent Tone signal. This is
a factory-set level and shall not be adjusted.
MICLvl

Adjusts the line level of the optional microphone. This level is
factory-set and shall not be adjusted.
Monitor

Adjusts the speaker volume on the (optional) HPSA-MIC.This
setting shall not be adjusted.
Line Out

Not used. This level shall not be adjusted.
