DESCRIPTION:
The EMTS-100 consists of a normally closed pushbutton switch on a single
gang face plate. It is intended to be used as a remote test switch for the
Watt Stopper/Legrand ELCU-100 and ECLU-200 Emergency Lighting
Control Units. When properly connected to the ELCU-100, pressing the NC
pushbutton will activate the emergency mode and cause the emergency
fixture(s) to turn on as long as the button is held in. Releasing the button
returns the ELCU-100 or ECLU-200 to normal condition. While in the
normal mode, the emergency lights will be off if the control device is off.
Or, the emergency lights will be on if the control device is on.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
1. Select a location for the EMTS-100 test switch and mount an
appropriate single gang switch box.
2. Connect the two leads from the EMTS-100 to the Remote Out
terminals on the ELCU. This connection is not polarity sensitive.
Note that it will be necessary to remove the factory installed jumper
from the Remote Out terminals on the ELCU.
3. Mount the EMTS plate to the switch box using the screws provided.
4. Test the operation of the EMTS-100 using the test procedure
provided in the installation instructions provided with the ELCU.
