CHAPTER 5

Error Conditions, Problems 

and Solutions

This chapter describes how to correct problems that can occur on your Side-
Trimmer. If a problem continues, contact your supplier.

Side-Trimmer Error

If a paper jam or other error occurs in the Side-Trimmer, the booklet maker 
stops. The type of error is displayed on the touch screen. See “Side-Trimmer 
Message List” on page 30.
Refer also to your booklet maker user manual.

Quality Problems

Trimming problems can affect the fore-edge trim or the side-trim. Make sure you 
follow the correct fault-finding routine.  
Side-trimming problems are explained in this manual. Fore-edge trimming prob-
lems are explained in the booklet maker manual.
