8.6 Installing the ASM onto a Duplo 400T Trimmer
The ASM is interfaced to the Duplo 400T Trimmer by using the signal for start
from the Trimmer Start Relay.
The error condition signal is obtained by breaking into the Guard switch cir-
cuit on the Trimmer.

Procedure
1.
Remove the Trimmer LH Side Cover (as viewed from the
delivery end).
2.
Remove the Trimmer Rear Cover.
3.
Position the drill jig into the lower LH cooling slot.
Secure the jig in position with adhesive tape.
4.
Spot drill the holes using a 3.3mm diameter drill bit.
5.
Remove the drill jig, and drill through the 5 holes.
6.
Open out the centre hole using a 17mm hole saw.
7.
De-burr the holes and clean away the swarf.
8.
Fit the interface socket and cable assembly using the
screws, nuts and washers provided.
9.
Feed the loose wires through the hole in the LH Side
Frame. Replace the Rear Cover.
10. Fit the bypass plug into the interface socket.
