7.4.3 Clamp Open Proximity Sensor
This sensor is positioned on the Bolster. It is only used when the machine is
initially switched on, to check that the Clamp is open. This prevents the Clamp
from operating out of phase with the Carriage.
7.4.4 RH Limit/LH Limit Proximity Sensors
These detect the Carriage when it has reached either end of the Carriage Guide.
This acts a signal to stop the Carriage, and then to open the Clamp.
7.4.5 Stacker Advance Sensor
This is a Hamlin magnetic reed switch which advances the stacker each time
a booklet is delivered.
7.4.6 Stacker Full Microswitch
This microswitch is activated when the stacker is full.
7.4.7 Guard Switches
Guard Switches disconnect power if the Stacker or Top Delivery Assembly are
open.
7.5 Transformer
The transformer is fitted with push-fit Taps (blue) which must be set to the cor-
rect position for the input voltage. Tap setting positions are shown on the
transformer PCB itself Figure 7:1. All the Taps must be set in the same posi-
tion. Details of the Tap settings are shown in the table below.
